What this site is

terabyte.tools provides free, browser-based calculators and reference tools for IT infrastructure planning: backup sizing, network subnetting, storage layouts and similar. The tools are provided free of charge for professional and personal use.

No warranty. Planning estimates only

The tools produce estimates based on simplified models, documented on each page. They are offered "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Real-world results depend on factors the models cannot capture. The output of these tools is not professional advice; validate any sizing or design decision against vendor documentation, vendor sizers and your own measurements before purchasing hardware or committing to an architecture.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Capablanca Digital OÜ shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its tools, including data loss, procurement decisions, downtime or lost profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero.

Acceptable use

You may link to any page, including share links with encoded parameters. You may not scrape the site at abusive rates, attempt to disrupt its availability, or present the tools as your own service (framing or white-labelling) without permission.

The site's design, text and code are © Capablanca Digital OÜ. The mathematical formulas and networking concepts implemented are, of course, common knowledge and free for anyone to use.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
